Our history & goals
Cake Me Crazy began in 2016 with a simple aim: to create cakes that were as memorable as the moments they marked.
In its early years, the studio built a following for bold colour, playful textures, and joyful celebration work, especially children’s designs and vibrant buttercream finishes. That energetic, fun era set the tone for a loyal community and a distinctive point of view.
In 2020 the studio expanded into a dedicated space, enabling larger commissions and a more disciplined production process.
A rebrand in 2025 came with a strong focus on high end wedding commissions, applying an editorial eye to structure, proportion, and surface detail. Each design is bespoke, with an emphasis on modern elegance and an elevated client experience.
Today the studio is a recognised name in bespoke cake design, Our work has been welcomed at leading Melbourne venues across the city, the Yarra Valley, and the Mornington Peninsula. We are a preferred supplier for Showtime Event Group and are recognised by Vogue Ballroom and Vines of the Yarra Valley. It is an honour to be regarded among Melbourne’s leading wedding cake designers.
Our Founder - bradlee
I began in 2004, learning from international cake artists and training in patisserie to build a strong technical base.
Experience in customer facing roles with influential and high profile clients refined my eye for detail, discretion, and anticipatory service. Communicating with care, and shaping a calm client experience are habits I carry into the studio.
The practice today is simple: listen well, define the brief, and refine through composition, colour, and texture until it feels effortless. Minimalism keeps decisions clear and the work considered. I value clear communication and a calm, respectful process.
Life outside the studio feeds the work. Galleries, photography, a bit of reality TV, and time with friends keep things human. Travel through Europe has sharpened my eye for balance and restraint. I read widely in self development and design, and political podcasts keep me curious.
